The new Coen Brothers’ movie, Inside Llewyn Davis has been described as a ‘love letter to 1960s Greenwich Village’. The film follows a down-on-his-luck folk singer (Oscar Isaac) navigating the New York City coffee house scene in 1961. But unlike Dave Van Ronk or Bob Dylan, Davis’ story is not one of success. Tuesday: The Naked Rambler was a sad and strange affair centred around Stephen Gough who, having been released from prison after 6 years of incarceration in Scotland, walks home to his mother’s home in Eastleigh, Hampshire. We didn’t quite understand Stephen’s reasons for this gruelling expedition but we admired his courage and of course, his beard.

Mr Selfridge is Back – weh hey! Our Sunday nights will be filled with beards and handlebar moustaches again! The trailer features the fabulous Jeremy Piven whose beard has become quite the ‘object of desire’. In an article in the Daily Mail one fan wrote to him saying ‘Jeremy, I love you.
