In recent years the Movember effect has started to make moustaches sexy again, and many men have been looking back to the Golden Age of Hollywood for inspiration. Recognising this, makers of men’s grooming equipment began to capitalise on it. For example, the Philips razor company began an advertising campaign, complete with instructional video, on ‘How to create the Clark Gable moustache’.
