A couple of years after Prince William’s foray into the world of facial hair, his younger brother, Prince Harry, also grew a beard, which began another media circus, not least because of the bizarre reaction whenever a man with red hair chooses to grow facial hair. For some reason, ‘ginger’ beards are often considered less acceptable than beards of any other colour. Harry bowed to pressure and eventually shaved.
