I’ve just treated myself to a copy of Kalendah – a 2016 calendar of bearded men in silky pyjamas. C’mon, what’s not to like here? Beards, yeah. Silky Pyjamas, OH YEAH. The melange is pure heaven!
The idea for the calendar came about when one of Kalendah’s co-creators, Kate Cooper-Owen was staying with a friend whose bearded boyfriend came out of their bedroom for breakfast wearing her silky dressing gown. Inspired by the look she ‘felt like it needed to be shared with the world!’
She persuaded her bearded friends to pose in vintage silk kimonos (in some beautiful locations around London) and photographer, Thomas Woland – Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan, Elle – worked his magic transforming these bearded wonders into saucey, slinky kimono boys – I can’t get enough…..
