Beardrevered kicked off Monday morning with Aaron Smith’s interview – The man who paints men with beards. Fanatical about the Victorian and Edwardian eras, Aaron depicts the vulnerability of men on his spectacular canvases through rigid poses and serious expressions. We couldn’t wait to catch up with Aaron at his home in Silver Lake, California, to find out a little more about the man who paints men with beards.

Last week we were honoured to be invited on a BBC Radio Humberside panel to defend Jeremy Paxman’s stubble. But that’s all it is, isn’t it? Stubble.

The beard has a special significance in Philadelphia culture and it is unlike any other city in America. In Philadelphia the beard is an expression of individuality, religious observance and civic pride. You can view this fascinating video, The Sunni Beard here
