Sketch bare bearded models with Art Macabre at a special themed life drawing salon at Somerset House on Wednesday 25th March 19h00 – 21h00.

London’s purveyors of “death drawing” (life drawing injected with a lethal dose of fun and theatricality) will explore legendary characters, including the murderous Bluebeard. Trace the curious history of the beard-endowed figure; from villain, to Victorian freak show, to the ultimate symbol of virility.

Art Macabre explore themes of death, dying and the darker side of the arts and culture through life drawing. Over the past 5 years, they’ve inspired and empowered thousands of people to sketch, with nude and costumed models, theatrical props, narrative and tableaux. Death Drawing has taken place inside historical crypts, outside in cemeteries, at London museums, Parisian gardens, summer festivals and ancient landmarks. They believe everyone can enjoy drawing, given the right inspiration!

Drawing materials and paper provided – All abilities welcome – Over 18s only
