Here’s the thing. There are an awful lot of beard oils, balms and potions out there and sometimes the sheer choice can be daunting. Male grooming is a BOOMING business.

It’s the same dilemma with shampoos and conditioners – it can take years to find the perfect shampoo, conditioner and styling products for your hair type due to the sheer scale of products available on the market.

Which one is it right for my beard type, I hear you say? Take a tip from Beardrevered and try Alchemy Oils Peppermint Beard Remedy – the perfect solution for growing (and maintaining) truly great facial hair.

First off the scent is a ‘barely there’ peppermint fragrance so if you’re worried about smelling like a tube of Colegate … don’t! We applied a small amount immediately after showering and massaged in to the beard. The oil moisturised and conditioned the beard perfectly and we can only wait to see – with prolonged use – if it will stimulate growth.

It certainly tamed some unruly stragglers with its potent blend of five natural oils including argan, coconut and avocado. There’s also rosehip oil to improve skin condition and a splash of peppermint oil tops off this combination to help promote hair growth by improving blood circulation, which increases the supply of oxygen to help that beard become nice and thick.

What’s more, knowing that a well-groomed beard and healthy skin will only thrive when looked after with the finest ingredients, Alchemy Oils ensured there are no nasties in their peppermint beard remedy. Their ethos is ‘nothing added, nothing taken away’. This means no parabens, SLS or chemicals that need a science degree to decipher. Just five small yet mighty effective oils:

  1. Peppermint Essential Oil: Stimulates the senses and increases blood circulation, promoting healthy hair growth.
  2. Organic Rosehip Oil: Revitalizes and hydrates skin and hair.
  3. Organic Avocado Oil: Strengthens and helps hair retain moisture.
  4. Fractioned Coconut Oil: Rich in antioxidants, Iron, vitamins E and K. Improves beard lustre and protects hair from breakage.
  5. Argan Oil: Packed with fatty acids and Vitamin E to tame and smooth beard hair.
