I’m a big supporter of Kickstarter and have been involved in a few projects over this past year, mostly beard-related – obviously.

For those of you who don’t know, Kickstarter is the world’s largest funding platform for creative projects. The brilliant Of Beards and Men book by Joseph OLeary and more recently, Beardo the Movie were both funded by Kickstarter.

The Bearded Lady is a little off the hirsute track – even for me, I generally prefer my beards on men, HOWEVER I think the premise for this charming 6 episode mini-series project by Amanda Romeo has great potential.

4 3

The money raised from Kickstarter will be divided up between six episodes and go towards paying and feeding the actors and crew and getting all the props and costumes needed. There are also some great rewards – always a bonus on Kickstarter –  check out Amanda’s  t-shirt and mug with their fab bearded lady logo.

Read more here on the project and help Amanda and The Bearded Lady see the light of day. The deadline for pledges ends on Saturday 6th June 2014.

Go on, you know you want to…
