Pelin the Great

Pelin Santilli describes himself as a porno radical artist.

His micro-paintings are made of layers upon layers of symbols taken from political propaganda and the tattoo cultures and poetic figures and terrible, have a gothic flavour  but its colours are saturated as those of the wrappers of the Big-Bubble. Pelin draws from burlesque dolls eyes rolling, balancing masculine in stockings, disturbing animals that look out of the frames of the pop-up paper. And the titles of his series sound like threats of an ‘impending apocalypse’.

Now we’ll admit we are not art specialists BUT we can spot good facial hair a mile off and Mr Santilli – in our humble opinion – has plenty of that.
