11.8 million -WOW! That is the number of viewers who tuned into the season premier of A&E’s Duck Dynasty – a U.S. reality show about gun toting, camouflage wearing Southern Christian stereotypes who all sport MASSIVE beards.
The most-watched, non-fiction cable telecast in history, Duck Dynasty follows the day to day life of the quirky Robertson family from West Monroe, Louisiana, who have made their fortune manufacturing duck calls (a tool used to emulate the sound of a duck).
The Robertson family have become such a hit in America it was announced earlier this year that the family are realising a holiday album, Duck The Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas. With 500 daily requests for appearances, book tours for three current New York Times best-sellers and a Christian Caribbean cruise that sold out in 20 days they are busy busy busy.
