I’ve just finished reading Absolutely Foxed.

Normally I’m a pretty nippy reader but this one took me a bit longer than usual – probably due to all the cricket speak. Sorry cricket people, I needed to look a few things up in Wisden.  Still I don’t think you necessarily have to be a fan of the sport to enjoy Graeme Fowler’s latest book – it’s a thoroughly enjoyable, thought provoking and human read.

There are no frills or fancy – it’s straight talking Foxy Fowler all the way, which takes you from his early sporting career through to the present day. No ghost writing either – this is Mr Fowler through and through – as though he was sitting next to the reader, recounting little snippets of his life. And wow, there were some facinating and insightful stories.  I won’t spoil it for you though, just pick up a copy and read for yourself.

If I had one criticism it would be the lack of facial hair-talk, he is Beardrevered’s favourite poster boy after all (and that cover pic is SO inviting), however I’m almost 100% sure his next steps will include something beard-related. Eh, Mr Fowler?!

(Oh, and perhaps you could dig out those PVC trousers next time we meet up?)

Anyway, 10/10 from Beardrevered – we love you, Foxy and Absolutely Foxed.
