This week was slighter shorter than most. Apologies for the missed post on Wednesday – we have been very busy with hirsute research in the world of cricket.
Saturday Beard Trivia: The title for longest female beard on record. This is held by Vivian Wheeler of Wood River, Illinois, USA,. She grew a full beard after the death of her mother in 1990. The longest strand from the follicle to the tip of hair was measured at 27.9 cm (11 in) in 2000 .
On Monday, we were so excited to post our interview with the amazing photographer Joeseph OLeary . His kickstarter project, Of Beards and Men is a series of photographs examining society’s obsession with defining masculinity has resulted in 125+ portraits where each sitter (many of whom had never been in front of a professional camera before) go all out to reveal their true persona and sense of manhood through the watchful eye of OLeary’s lens.
